Dr. Adam K Stein
About Me
Dr. Adam K. Stein is a university professor who supports international students as they develop their academic English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. He additionally teaches a technical writing course for doctoral students as they complete their dissertation work. Dr. Stein also coaches global business professionals on their advanced language skills, business presentation skills, interview preparation, and accent reduction.
He possesses a bachelor's degree in advertising and a bachelor's degree in French from the University of Texas at Austin in addition to a master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Stein has held university teaching assignments at Miami University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and the University of North Texas as well as overseas assignments in Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia. He was also a teacher trainer for Oxford Seminars for more than 10 years and has been a presenter at conferences in Dubai, the Philippines, Malaysia, and the United States.
For the academic year 2018-2019, Dr. Stein was awarded the U.S. Department of State's English Language Fellowship and was assigned to teach pre-service English teachers at the top education university in Malaysia in addition to working with journalists from Malaysia's national news agency, Bernama.
In his free time, Dr. Stein remains physically active and is currently training for his fourth marathon (26.2 miles/42 kilometers). He also has a great passion for traveling and has visited 46 countries in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
